I've got a built Romanian AK from Citizen's Armory from Mexico, Missouri.   Using a variety of different mags.  I've noticed that some of them will cause the gun to jam.   The receiver has dimples for the magazine; however, none of the of magazines fit very tight...they are a little loose.

So after i started seeing it jam, i took a look...and noticed that on some of the mags there are rub marks at the top where the bolt is getting caught.  It's on the left hand side of the mag..you can see a pic.  I've thought about dremeling out the mag where the bolt hits it.   I don't think much would need to be taken off...but maybe others have seen this and know a better fix?  Thanks

Look at the middle mag...left hand corner...u can see where the paint has been taken off and the wear mark.

In any weapon system a rifle will jam if the mags are bad.  Those mags look old but I would buy new mags and try that out and see if the jams continue.

I'm not sure exactly what it is.   I've read on the internet that they build the receivers from Tapco flats.   I found a picture from the internet on another forum.  Mine looks pretty much identical except i don't have the bayonet lug
