I like the look of the Ak-74 folding stock but I was always under the impression that a standard receiver and trunion would have to be modified. I this correct? Also would these be adaptable to a standard Ak-47? If not are there any manufactures that make Ak-74 styled folding stocks that would fit a standard Ak-47 without any modifications. I have seen some like Ace but I havent seen a folding one yet I am also wnating one that would fit flush with the rear receiver when folded unlike the Romanians and Tapcos that stick out a couple inches. I have never seen these and doubt they exist but was recently told that they are out there.

You're probably wanting one of the "krinkov" style stocks.  As far as I know, everyone is sold out of the folders.  You'll need to install a special trunnion for that stock.

Thats what I was thinking about the trunion but I was told otherwise so I figured I would look into it.

One optio is to buy a complete parts set, raid the set for the rear end, then sell off the front end and toss in all the other parts as freebies.
