If you have Amazon Prime and a couple of hours to kill the movie "AK-47 KALASHNIKOV" is available to watch for free. If you're not a Prime member you can still watch it for $3.99 (HD) or $2.99 (SD). I don't know how historically accurate it is and I've never even fired an AK variant of any kind (I know, I AM ashamed of it). I did enjoy the movie though and wish there were more like them covering the history of some of the well-known firearms of the world. This Should Be a link to the movie but I wouldn't swear to it working since it came from my "Watchlist". If it doesn't work just use the Amazon search bar and search for "AK47 Kalashnikov" and it should show up. It's worth a watch in my opinion. |

| I thought it was pretty good, but I could have done without the love-story aspect of it. I get that is also part of Mikhail's "story" but let's face it. The part everyone wanted to see was the development of the AK. Not some boring love-story. |

I was a historical consultant for that movie. So, how historically accurate is it? Well, I watched it before the premiere and asked the director to remove my name from the credits and never label me as a historical consultant of this movie. I am still credited on IMDB as 'special thanks', good enough. I think this movie is a giant missed opportunity. |
