I took it out yesterday and shot it. It has a terrible trigger slap. It was so bad that it actually hurt. Is any one else having trouble with this? Is there any way to correct it? Is this because its new? Any help would be appreciated.

When I got my WASR I went  here www.gunsnet.net/Linx310/index.shtml
and did  bunch of the tutorials including his fix for trigger slap. I ended up with a pretty decent WASR by the time I got done  with everything.

I followed the linx website to refinish my WASR furniture and polich the charging handle and bolt carrier, but I didn't want the headache of wrastling with the Sheperds hook so I had a smith do the trigger slap fix.

Also, he fixed an unpinned gas rod in the charging handle.

Both things should only be about $30.

The angry beavers at Century Arms produce a real piece of shit...however the good news is that you can fix pretty much everthing wrong with it.

FOR SURE get the trigger slap fixed. Otherwise you'll stop wanting to shoot the weapon.
