The internet?

ETA: Aim, Centerfire Systems, CDNN Investments, Impact Guns.... you gotta give us a hint on what you want. Saying you want an AK is like saying you want a pickup truck... whats it going to be used for? Budget? Traditional or tacticool?

AKs for a fair price? they don't exist anymore.....sorry. they're charging 400-1000+ dollars for a 2-250 rifle.

And, be careful with auction sites like Gunbroker.com. While you can find a good deal, a lot of the small arms being sold are way, way, way overpriced. Just saw a Polish Tantal going for 1,100. Avoid the word 'custom' at all costs!

I see classic arms has them for 449 , maybe I'll go that route.
I also see they have receivers , good or bad idea to assemble one?

a lot of the local shops have them for $450-500. with the cheaper AK's its really nice to look at them before you buy them. make sure the sights/gas system is straight. there other threads about what to look for when buying one. might have good luck in the EE on here to find one as u can talk with the seller to talk about that gun and not a company just tossing them in boxs. Aim and Alantic have some nice AKs for a little more. just depends on what ur looking for.

Unless you know someone with the tools it will cost as least as much to build one as it will to buy one.
