Geez, I shoulda known when th...*edited* Guess I'll make do with the crappy Barnaul steel jacket soft point. Ober, I haven't a clue what happened. Did a little lurking and even made a few posts yesterday...decided to check the forum and see if anything was new and it was gone. I do know it was a small operation so perhaps they just couldn't afford to fund the project. I was really looking forward to trying the stuff as I'm really sold on the V-Max. I nailed my 8th backyard gopher yesterday with the 5.45 Barnaul soft point. It does the job and leaves a pretty ugly wound considering the steel jacket's limitations for "mushrooming". The problem I've had is needing to take a follow up shot to actually kill the critters. Granted, I'm no marksman, nor am I using a marksman's tool so I'm sure shot placement is a factor... With the V-max's shot placement doesn't seem to be as critical, just squeeze the trigger and dead gopher. Hmm, guess I should quit whining, break out the NHM and wait patiently for some USA made 5.45...
