I purchased an Arsenal Classic underfolder few weeks ago on Internet, (GunsAmerica). Damn, I just noticed that the rifle has no bayonet lug. According to Arsenal specs it should have one. The above paragraph is a quote of their specs....poor devils misspell underfolding buttstock. What a rip-off by a legit company. Why do they mislead the customers? I do not care for an AK with no bayonet lug. I paid for this junk $ 1350. What is my recourse now? I don't want to hear that the classic is not to have a bayonet lug, and the specs were a missprint. How do I deal with Arsenal now? Help! |

The SAS M-7 Classic (ban style) has a pinned stock and pinned muzzle nut. Mine has functional folding stock and removable muzzle nut. Only the bayonet lug is missing. The SAS M-7 (ban style) has pinned stock, no muzzle threads, no bayonet lug, black polymer furniture and AK-74 gas chamber block. |
You are absolutely correct. Thank you very much, you guys are experts. I called Arsenal, and they said the same thing. Why do I make an ass of myself on this forum? Apology to Arsenal and thanks to you. Sorry, SAS M-7 Classic, for calling you a piece of junk. |

motorcityman When your Classic is folded, can you turn the safety lever to fire position without any interference from the stock? On mine the safety lever clearance cut-out is definitely in the wrong position, too far backward. Could not turn the lever to fire position, the tab would hang up on the front corner of the cut-out. Had to file about 1/16" inch of the front tab to clear the stock. Also, the rear stock cut-out that clears the axis of the safety lever is in the wrong position. When I fold the stock, the front corner of the clearance cut-out hits and shears the safety lever. The Vector Polish underfolder has all the clearances in the correct position and I have no problems with it. Gee, one would think that Arsenal could figure out these bugs. On cheap, beat-up rifle with stamped underfolding stock, I would grind or file these clearances myself. This is machined stock, and I need 1/8" -3/8" inch of additional clearance in two locations. Any gunsmiths in southern Michigan willing to work on AK's? You know, all the hassle of packing and shipping out long gun out of state. Richard257 |
