I've researched a bit for my first AK and decided I'd going to go with a high quality, milled, AK. Arsenal seemed like the best option so I think I'll wait for the SA M-7

Any of the Arsenal experts have an idea on when they'll be available?
Will the Arsenal AK-LSFB Stock fit on a milled reciever or are they designed for the stamped? I haven't noticed any Arsenal 7.62 milled AKs with the full stock sidefolders. Wonder if they already exist in past or current model...
Thanks for the help!

Arsenal would have to give you an exact release date to distributors. You may be able to find a SAM7R right now for $50 - $75 more, which is the same thing, but has a scope rail. Another option would be a SAM7A1R, though it would be $100 - $150 more.

Anyway, SAM7's are double-tang, meaning they have two support rods coming out of the back of the reeciver. The top tang has 1 screw, while the bottom tang has two screws. I don't think the side-folding stock will work on a SAM7 for this reason, as well as the rear trunion not being correct.  But if someone else knows otherwise, please do tell.

For a pic of a double-tang milled receiver, go the the link below and look at the #2 pic on the right side of the screen

So is ARSENAL making more SA M7 runs?

I thought they moved on from that model (the SA M7, not the multitude of variants)

I have owned 2 SA M7's (both "s" models) and a SA M7 Carbine. Great rifles and highly recommended to anyone looking for brand new, higher end AK rifles.

It makes sense if they are, or maybe they never stopped, as it has to be ARSENAL's  best selling model. (U.S. Made)

Accoring to their site, they are still making the SAM7R. I bought one a few months ago for $850. Next best thing to a SAM7A1R, which is the Hoy Grail of their full stock AK's.

Keep in mind that sometimes they have discontinued a rifle, but there are still some in stock at Arsenal and with their distributors.

Good choice!

No....but I'm not an expert at anything!

Unfortuneatly, there's really no way to use that stock on a SA M-7 variant without a lot of work. The SA M-7 SF SHOULD accept that stock, but it does use a different tang arrangement I'm not familiar with.
