I have an Arsenal SLR-106 with a fake suppressor and I would like to know if the suppressor is removable or not? I don't have a book and I'm fairly new to AKs.
Also, is it possible to buy the real suppressor for this rifle?  Thanks for any help.

If you're referring to this one below? - then, yes it is removable. However, the barrel extends all the way to the end to satisfy the 16" minimum barrel length requirement so that it's not classified as an SBR. If you wanted a real can you would need to apply and pay the $200.00 tax stamp for first converting to an SBR and an additional $200.00 for the can.

Without fake suppressor installed it looks like this...

my $0.02

I've never seen a real PBS suppressor in the US but somebody may have them.  You know the drill, SBR or a suppressor is all NFA stuff so go ahead and send in your application and begin the wait.  If you can get it in soon you might have your stamp before Christmas........seriously.

RedJacket makes a clone of the PBS suppressor.

Why would I have to deal with the SBR part of it, since the barrel is 16". In AL. we can't own those bad SBR's anyway.  Thanks
