I have AKs of every make...
NONE have as bad a trigger as the Arsenal that I bought last year.. Like dragging the trigger down a dirt road. I had a smith polish the thing. Still lots of creep and rough. Is there something else going on here or do I just need to swap the trigger?? Brownells has TAPCO G2s which I like....then Red Star, JARD, and High Standard. What do you recommend?? |
| I personally like the arsenal 2 stage triggers. They are actually pretty good, just takes some time to get used to them. I have the g2 in a few rifles and while the pull is much lighter than the arsenal I have found that the break is not very predictable. On the arsenal two stage it's very predictable and crisp but is heavier. It's all about personal preference. Remember it's an ak, don't compare them to ar triggers or you will always be disappointed. |
|
I also like the Arsenal 2 stage a lot.
From reading on the various forums it seems to me that some of their 2 stage triggers are just crap, I guess they just have poor QC and let crappy ones through. I am personally not a fan of the G2, had one in the WASR, like the Arsenal 2 stage better. If I was going to use a different trigger I would probably just go with the Texas AK Trigger. |
| I like the G2 and it's an easy swap if you use a retainer plate instead of the shepherd hook. I like the red star arms retainer plate better than the Krebs. Power Custom sells these on midway. From my understanding they are just the RSA plate being distributed by Power Custom. There's also a dude on ebay that sells a direct copy of the RSA plate but doesn't have the black finish on it. No matter which trigger you go with, I def would recommend using the plate. |

The trigger would not reset without wiggling my finger some and then of course it came forward, reset all while slapping the shit outta my finger. My buddy's SLR 107CR does the exact same thing. I gave mine 1,000rds to break in, but still was just as shitty as day one. JMHO, YMMV. |
