HOLY $%(*! I finally bumb fired today! That had to be the most fun that I have ever had in my life. I have tried with an AR and with my dad's WASR (with dragonov stock, probably the problem), but I finally got it with my new Lancaster today. The most I can go is about 10 round bursts, but I expect that to change with practice. I didn't realize that the range I was on at my club didn't allow full auto firing, so the caretaker had to come and tell me not to do that anymore. There is another range in the clube that it is allowed, so I'll shoot there next time. But man was it fun! The AK was really accurate, too. At somewhere between 75 and 100 yards I could hit a small coffee can. It also blows up water filled milk jugs very well. |

Yea, it's a blast. A shame that each mag dump costs ~$5.00 though. I definitely can't bump as much as I would like. As for the AK accuracy, I've always said that they are less accurate than an AR, but definitely more accuracte than ~80-90% of the US poplulation expect them to be. I know I was suprised with my first AK. It is probably due largely to the fact that our enemies use them and can't kill our soldiers very well. People assume it is because the AK is a spray and pray only weapon. When in actuality, it is due much more to the fact that they are not properly trained. |
You think that was fun just wait till you discover sex. ...lol... sorry, could not help myself. |

The way most people do it is by holding the AK at the hip and putting your thumb on the trigger. You then pull the AK forwark until your thumb pulls the trigger. If you do it right it's almost like full auto. If you practice enough you can do it from the shoulder and shoot off a whole mag in one giant string of fire. http://youtube.com/watch?v=9RoTXzgHS48 http://youtube.com/watch?v=G27gjMyY-rk |
I never used my thumb??? I have done it from the hip, using my index finger. . |
