| Where exactly is the barrel nut welded on, on post ban sar-1s? Any pics? I cant seem to find a nut welded on my ak, its not a problem i would just like to know. |

correct. as long as your muzzle diameter is .550" you can thread for the standard 14mm x 1mm left hand thread. this is the thread for muzzle nuts and slant compensators as well as many aftermarket ak-74 style brakes. follow all batfe permanent attachment methods after threading, keep your usa parts count in check and you are good to go. |

Then my other question is how much it costs to thread my muzzle. And what I will need. I am pretty sure we can do it our selves. My dad was a gun smith so Ive got most all the help I need. My one problem is he hasnt done much work on ak's. So this board is alot of help. Thanks (edited for this question) Or better yet where could I buy a threaded front sight base? I was looking at how difficult it was to do it yourself. Also since I dont have a barrel nut where could I buy a bayunet lug? |
