After just finishing my first ak build, an AMD-65 on an OOW receiver, I think I'm ready to bend my own receivers, but .......

What are my choices when looking for bending jigs?

Which one is the best?

And which ones bend the upper rails also?

Finally, where can I find each one?

Thanks in advance from an AK noob.

There are a few commercial jigs available.  Scott at DPH Arms has a nice one, and Chris, at AK-builder also makes a great jig with a piece that will bend the top rails.  There are also plans online which you can use to make your own jig.  If you look on the posts there are jig rental lists that you can jump on to bend your flats at reasonable cost.  My suggestion would be to sift through the posts, see whats involved and decide how much you're willing to invest.  I forgot the site, but there are some great step by step flat bending instructions on the web.  RTC

Curtis at ak-builde has a sweet jig. The one for the top rails works great. Its a lot easier than having to hammer the top rails over.

Thanks alot guys.  I really like the one  on ak builder that bends the top rails.  I think I'll be getting that one pretty soon.  Again, thanks.

There are some intersting builder parts at http://www.greenlightarms.com

I met the guy and saw his work at a local show.  Guy had a good personality and seemed sharp.
