So I am looking for what I can only term the bolt. The lower collection of parts that include the firing pin and locks together with the charging handle. I need sources to buy these parts but I am not sure if it’s worth it or not.

I'd try Numrich or Cheaper than Dirt. CTD has an SKS "survival kit" that includes a new stock, bolt, carrier and lots of small parts.
Make sure you headspace everything before you try and shoot it with a new bolt though!
