I just picked up a Polish underfolder with all matching #'s except the bolt built on a NODAK spud. I was cleaning the rifle as it was dirty when I picked it up and noticed something that caught my attention. Just ahead of the chamber about 2 inches there are is pitting, many, 1/16th inch or so samall patches of it. My question is, the rest of the Polish barrel looks bright and the lands and grove seem ok, is this something that should concern me, will accuracy be adversly affected? I was told this was a virgin Polish kit. I have not fired the rifle yet and was unable to get a good pic.

Thanks.

It should have a chrome lined barrel in which case pitting is unlikely, unless of course you got one of the new ones with a bullshit non-chromed barrel (due to the barrel import ban some new builds are coming out with those I've heard).

Go shoot it, if it works and is accurate, don't worry about it.
