hmmm thanks, could I get some advice, after some measurements, it seems like I will need something bigger than .281. My rough measurements show the old pin being .290-.300, and this fit loose... I was able to knock the old pin through with fairly light tapping and a cheap punch... so I'm guessing that is why it broke. Century must have put in an undersized pin... hence now it is broken from being loose.

A gentleman on another forum suggested a 5/16 or .310. Do you think this would be over kill?

Wow how did you know it busted?  Did it fail to lock the bolt?

It was protruding from both sides of the trunnion. I figured something was up, I gave it a light tap... and out it came. Century put a pin in that was clearly too small.

No shit!  To think of the problems I had getting the Rommy G pins ut and then back in I can not imagine a pin on any AK just poping out

I would check the headspacing on this when you are done too...

I've heard a few places that the pin should be .004" to .005" oversized (compared to the hole). That seems about right, anything tighter would be a real project to install. A loose fitting pin will cause it to crack, but it will also cause the hole to distort (egg) slightly, so you may have to have the hole honed/bored to a slightly larger pin size anyway. Otherwise you might end up with another cracked pin down the road.
