Under the nut welded on the end of the CUR-2 barrel there are threads,  anyone know what size/pitch they are?    Also whats the best brake to put on for the thread size as for as holding on target/recoil reduction?

99.99% of those nuts on the Romanian 5.45 rifles were pressed on with no threads underneath. Once off, it will take a 1/2"x28 threading die quite well.
