| We'll I've never owned a SKS before but for soon reason the bug has bit me, I found centerfire systems has Chinese ones for 290$. I know not to expect a beauty but what could I expect if I bought one (rough looking in picture)? What about quality? It will just be a range toy so the stock doesn't matter to me as long as it functions and is sound. http://www.centerfiresystems.com/SKSGUN-56-2.aspx |

SKSs are easy to find at local pawn shops. Look around and you can find a like new norinco commercial for $300ish.
I bought a type 56 as pictured on CFS, they are rough, very little finish, wood is very rough. I like it that way because I am a collector, but if you are a first time buyer I'd get a good commercial model. |
