| I recently purchased a M76 in .223 . I was going to modify a Galil mag or install a new bullet guide … While i was snooping through the safe I found a butt ton of AC unity .223 5.45x45 mags , well folks with a file and a few minutes , took the tang of the mag in and the bottom of the tang ( made it a little thinner) damn things fit and function perfectly, the follower and angle were perfect . Hope this helps all of you who ate trying to make mags work. PS i was going to use some bulgarian mags (circle 10 ) but they are getting spendy and i have two arsenal’s that need them . OP, don't you mean AC Unity 223 5.56x45 instead of 5.45x45? Anyway, it is good to know of another source. Years ago, I had modified Bulgarian 556 magazines and they worked perfectly in my M76 folder with the correct feed into the chamber center. I looked up AC-Unity and their AK556 magazines are patterned after the Bulgarian Circle 10 556 specs so that explained why your modification worked right off the bat. So far best option for me has been WBP .223 ak mags. They are cheap, lightweight, reliable and feed well. They are currently my go-to mags for my Valmet. I feel like they are better than OEM mags in some way. Downside is that they take some grinding to get to fit. |
