Lets see some of your cheap builds.

Here is one of mine.

$59 '63 Romy Full stock Kit from Century, only missing top handguard and cleaning rod.
$12 Tapco Flat
$50 Tapco FCG, Gas Piston, Slant cut brake combo from Copes
$8 Rivet set
$3 Shepards Hook.

Total $132. I had to donate some crappy handguards from another build that I had left over. Barrel sucks but it still shoots minute of man at 100m.

Date on the trunion is 1964

That is beautiful. Cheapest I ever did was a pistol on a $59 AMD kit with a $50 OOW receiver and $30 rear trunnion eventually traded for a Saiga 12 w/mags and $100. I need to do a battlefield pick-up like yours. That is nice.

$100 = my first pistol, 8" barrel.

I turned down/rethreaded the barrel, and made my own rear trunion, made my own custom handguards.
