Convert fixed-folder to folder > AK Discussions

I've got a Krink--bulgy kit on OOW rec--I want to convert to a folder. Side folder is intalled but in fixed open position.

What do I have to do to return this the dark side?

I believe I have the parts necessary.

How is it fixed in the open position? Is it welded? we need information on how they perminately fixed it open. Take some pictures (close ups) of the hinge and take some pics of the inside of the gun with the top cover off.

IIRC there is a small peice of pipe in there preventing the button from being pushed in. Remove the pin and see if it all falls loose. (It really depends on who built it as to how they did it)

Yes I did.

Actually, I had enough evil stuff that there was no reason to do so. But I have some time now and it is winter here. My time of year to do gunwork. I save up projects like this for the crappy days when I can't get out and do anything up here.

I agree, winter is the best time of year to tinker with guns.
Maybe you could even build up some new AKs!
Extra Evil - nothing makes the anti-gunners more angry than a non-neutered AK built in an average joe's garage!
