Can you tell which country a parts kit came from by looking at the serial numbers?  I have an AKM with S-BX10xx on a number of the parts...

Most countries have arsenal marks.  With arsenal marks on the trunnion, rear sight block or receiver stubs you can verify where most parts set are from.

The "S-" prefix is a dead giveaway for Romanian "G" parts sets.

With arsenal marks on the trunnion, rear sight block or receiver stubs you can verify where most parts set are from.

The original receiver stubs are unfortunately long gone.  I don't see any arsenal marks on the rear sight block.  It looks like someone ground the arsenal marks off of the trunnion.
