I traded for a Polish underfolder a few weeks ago. Looks like its in great shape and it shhot great but I noticed a crack in the stock. Ill post some pics tell me if you think it need to be replaced or just cosmetic.





P.S. stock opens and closes fine with a little bit of play... and i didnt have a problem putting 300rnds through it.

Glad you posted that, I was thinking about buying an underfolder too.  Screw that.  I'd have to get that fixed, that would drive me nuts.

For the record this is just the outer layer... there are two more layers of steel beneath it.

If it was me I would remove it, weld over it, file back down, refinish it and put the thing back on.

Parts are too cheap and too easy to come by for an AK.  Just replace the damn thing.  It's not worth it to keep something with what's probably some type of stress fracture or inferior metallurgy.  More than likely, it's going to bail on you at an unopportune moment....like while you're shooting it!  Even at the range that's a bad thing.  You can most likely swith the parts yourself.
