Are the semi internals the same? As far as I know only DSA and project guns are building rpds right now. Just wondering if there doing the conversion the same and with the same semi parts. I have a like new Polish kit and a DSA receiver on the way. Will DSA be selling the semi parts? Will those parts be the same as the ones project guns sells? Is one company building a better more reliable gun?
Thanks |

I guess I will take my chances and buy from whoever gets there semi parts in first. Not sure if DSA will be selling semi parts or not but the rep. at knob creek claimed they would be. As of 2 weeks ago Military Gun Supply had semi parts in, even if no listed on the site I would call them because they probably still have some. |
| I ordered my semi parts from MGS about 4 weeks ago when they were still listed on their site. Havent recieved any thing yet. I did call them last Friday, and they said that I am number 2 on the back order list and they expect to see the parts by late December. |
| I think they are the same. The VECTOR RPD was different in that it used a custom lower stock which housed their version of the recoil spring system. I have a RPD built by Pirate when he and Jorge first started building them on Wiselite receivers. The thing is gorgeous. I did have a bout of trigger issues which Stan fixed by replacing the internals and milling something. I think he outsources the trigger parts now to another company and they are fine. Can't go wrong with an RPD. Thing of beauty! |
