Do you mean installing the fire control group?  There are some instructions for that here this website.  If that is not what you need let us know.

The hammer bottom is hanging on the bottom of the receiver...not sure if i got the wrong set...i though all hammer groups were the same?

The part that is grounding is the spur at the bottom right of the hammer....

Maybe i was just too tired last night....

The "spur" you are talking of sounds like a part to a full-auto hammer.  Perhaps you should be more candid about what you are asking.  Are you having problems with function of an AK or just looking to familiarize yourself with parts?  I ask so to be most efficient in responding (for you as well as me, I don't have all the time in the world but try to make sure people's questions are answered on this forum).  Are you using the original FCG (fire control group) that came with your kit?  Is there something else you have a question about?  If I'm still here when you respond I will try to answer, but I do have to get to work soon.

It looks like you put hammer backwards. On the picture you posted, hammer needs to be flipped around vertical axis. The "spur" at the bottom prevents it from forward overtravel if the bolt carrier removed.

That image is from Nodak Spud not the person who asked the question.  While you may be correct just wanted to point that out.

I'm using the US compliance set Nodak sells. Maybe i goofed and picked up the full auto hammer but i doubt it...

I installed the trigger group, but when i went to put the bolt and bolt carrier back it the bolt was hanging on the trigger, didn't matter if it was cocked or sprung. Hopefully i can figure it out tonight.

Is this the known Nodak issue? (http://www.nodakspud.com/troubleshooting.htm)

A disconnector with a tail is a FA (full-auto) disconnector but the hammer is not a FA part.

Actually the disconnector is semi, though it looks like full auto.

Bulgarian full auto disconnector
