OK I'm having problems finding a single hook trigger group but doubles are available.  Question is, has anyone taken a double and made a single out of it, ie, is this possible and or still legal?

Has anyone used a double hook trigger with a single hook bolt

Or, has anyone modified the receiver by adding the clearance slot for the double hook trigger and is this also legal?

Thanks

Takes 15 min MAX with a small file to make the notch in the reciever. Would take less time to take off the other hook with a Dremel but try making the notch first. Nothing ilegal about cutting a hook though.SS

I like double hooks. You can also grind a bit away on the forward corner of the trigger to allow the double hook to work. I have used and like Blackjacks double hooks that he has converted this way.

The single hook and double hook fire control groups may be used interchangably (with the modifications outlined already). The Soviets removed the second hook to make room for a "rate reducer" in the AKM, but the interface of the hammer and bolt and the hammer and carrier is the same.
