Not sure if my google skills just suck and that is why I can't find much information on it but are there any major differences in the construction/assembly of Dracos and WASRs.  I've seen it places that Dracos are assembled in Romania and just imported by Century but couldn't really find anything that seemed all that reliable.  Also it I have always wondered why they would put the dimples in the Draco receiver and not the WASR if they are being made/built/assembled in the same place.  Just curious if anyone has any info on this.  Thanks

Well, besides the barrel length, front sight assembly, the lack of stock and rear trunnion difference, it appears to me that the Draco is made on a mil receiver without the 3rd hole drilled and a non-slotted rail welded in. Like you mentioned with the dimples plus on every Draco I've seen there's also a third Y with corresponding I on the opposite side at the sear pin location. There might be a difference with the "trigger hump" but I don't have a WASR to look at...

They are both built in Romania.

The WASR lacks dimples because it is built on a receiver that takes single stack magazines.  For whatever reason, they don't use dimples on those receivers.  The Draco is built on a standard AKM receiver that takes normal AK double stack mags.

The WASR is modified once it gets to the states to make it take double stack mags and for 922r comliance.  Since the Draco is a pistol, it doesn't have the 922r or "assault weapon" rules, so no need for it to get modded.

Since the Draco is a pistol, Century the importer does not need to open the magwell to accept hi cap mags, or add any US parts. Since the Wasr is a rifle, the magwell enters the country fitting only low cap mags. Century needs to open the magwell, & add 5-or 6 US parts to be 922 compliant which is not necessary for pistols. Both guns start life in the same factory in Romania, but while the Wasr must be modified to be sold here, the Draco is sold exactly as it was made in Romania.  GARY

My 2013 WASR came with a nice Tapco G2 trigger, my new Draco does not. The G2 has a clean break with little creep, the Draco has a lot of creep with a heavier pull.
But the fit n finish on the Draco is better and right out of the box the action was smoother. Draco furniture actually looks like real wood not plywood.
Both came out of the box zeroed @ 25 yards with no front sight cant.
