I think we need a pic thread with more of a traditional look to the rifles.

Pure sexy. Sometimes less makeup is better.
ETA: A little toe in the pic would also be nice :)

This what you have in mind?

Here's my Romy SAR-1 & my Yugo M-70AB2:

And the SAR-1 by it's self:

I apologize for my lousy camera.

Dude, you make me look at your NDM-86 avatar all day long while I impatiently wait for mine to show up at my dealer, then you keep posting other sweet AK's I want but can't afford at the moment.  I'm dying for an SGL31 right now.. need a 74 for the collection.

I seriously hate you

Man, I really don't mean to torture you with that small little avatar, that's pretty messed of up me.

Here's the fullsize:

The one on the left is from Rusmilitary yes, the one on the right was refnished by NACHTJAGER from theakforum. Not a perfect match to the typical color, but then again no one has ever seemed to get that right anyway. His set has a little bit more red which is what I after. He did a fantastic job, particularly on the HG's. (PG is original finish from a different source)

As much as I like the camo you did on that rifle, I think this version just looks nicer.

I agree actually but the classic look didn't feel right on a 7.62...I guess it's because the UR ships in all black poly and by defination is a modern AK rather than old school traditional, so proper furniture and bakelite mags actually feels out of place to me.
That being said I am really considering another 5.45 to go pure traditional, maybe even 'authentic' clone

But for pure looks, yeah I agree the laminate smokes the camo paint job...right up til you get a scratch on the wood lol

Now I have a question for the traditionalist community, how traditional would you consider this rifle:
-keep in mind the red dot is Russian made, most parts on the SA M7 SF are Bulgarian, the bayonet is Bulgarian, the only thing I would find questionable is the bipod
-I want to hear your opinion.
