With my East German AK build. I know the purists won't be happy because I welded it together, but I'm still happy with it.

The stock isn't on upside down. There is only one way for it to attach and have the latch engage the stock.  I noticed that the stock is hanging across the trigger guard, and thought it was kind of strange. I figured since the stock could be opened back up without activating the latch again, it was designed to be swung out of the way. I've done some more research on the matter and the main arm is bent. I guess I have to straighten in out, then I'll be done.

Here is a pic of how straight it should be.

Once I get it straightened out, I'll post a how bent the stock looks and after it's fixed.

No it's not parkerized. I was going to parkerize it, but decided to try some Gun Kote out. It is there Matte Gray finish. It worked quite well, I just needed to practice a little more with the airbrush to get used to adjusting the spray pattern. It would of made that part a little easier.

Actually this one was a little easier to finish off. It was an OOW receiver so I didn't have to weld up the holes. I welded the hole thing from the inside, so I didn't really have any welds to grind really smooth on the outside.

I did this one on my own. I was planning on doing my AKS-74 this past weekend. Since I didn't get that one done, I'll just have to wait till I can swing up to his place and finish it.
