I got bad news for myself... The yugo sks I bought... is a piece of shit. However, Ill give it one plus, the very few times that it actually did shoot and cycle the next round properly, it was very accurate.. more so than my wasr and without the trigger slap. But I took it to the range today and it did nothing but jam. It would only properly eject spent casings like 1 in 4 times. other times they would get stuck in the action. and i kept shooting and put a total of about 20 rounds thru it, and now the bolt is completely locked up. Its locked in the closed position, I cant even pull it back at all. I tried taking the receiever cover off and recoil spring to free it up. It still doesnt work. Im going to bring it back to dunham's where I bought it last Saturday. They said there is no returns on firearms but the guy said if it was defective, they would send it back to the importer, which just happens to be Centruy International, and they would either fix it or send me a new one. Now that he actually did sell me a bad gun, I hope he doesnt give me any shit about honoring that policy... or I will raise holy hell in there. You think I will get shit from them about bringing it back tomorrow? |

With the gas lever in the wrong position it WILL cycle some of the time, and it will also bulge the case causing difficult extraction, I also assume that it could cause an overpressure situation which could possibly bufu the bolt and carrier. I know, I did it once, when they were still a new item to play with. Also, the very first ones that came in had rusty gas tubes, and too much gas blew by to operate them reliably, after all the rust was cleaned off the inside of the tube. |
