Finally got to the range with my Yugo underfolder.
It is one of the Century builds that Henderson was offering at the beginnng of the year. Bought it but hadn't had a chance to shoot it until last week. Out to the range with some Golden Tiger 7.62 from Copes. I have to tell you, I was very leery of the metal underfolder stock and metal butt. I was prepping myself for some serious shoulder and face pain when I squeezed the trigger the first time. OH MY GOD! What a sweet little evil weapon! No cheek slap, no shoulder pain, nothing. I love this little thing! I was laughing and giggling so much after the first 10 rounds that one of the other guys there came over to see what was going on. He started smiling when I told him, then wanted to try it himself. He was also damned impressed. As to the gun itself..... no trigger slap, sights damn near dead on out of the box. No front cant that I can see (either on the gun or the target). Pretty much dead solid perfect at 25 and 50 yards. Did I mention.... SWEET! My lady came out to join me (wanted to play hookey from work for the afternoon) so I convinced her to give it a try. Explained the workings (loading, inserting the mag, charging the weapon, safety, etc) and let her rip. Hell, she was even more accurate that I was! So.... took it away from her. (Kidding!). She ripped through several 10-round cycles and finished with a huge grin. Then she asked "what else ya got?". We spent the rest of the afternoon at the range with my AR-15 and mini 30. Just a couple of days later, she's wanting to know when we can go back. SO..... (twist my arm, right?) it was back out for a day with the pistols. I was loving it, and she's really getting in to the whole thing. I knew I loved her for a reason! Just gotta say..... really LOVIN' the Yugo! Michael |
