Looking to put a flash hider on my SA85M.  The original threads have been machined off.
OD barrel diameter is .545.  Any suggestions since barrel is too small now to use standard
14 x 1mm threads.  Anyone know of a 7.62 FH threaded in this size?
From what I can tell, my only option may be a 5.56 and have it bored to 7.62 size.
Opinions are appreciated

Wow.  Would have thought this was the forum to find an answer for this question.
Surprised no one else has needed to do this as I know there are a bunch of these
rifles out there.

thread it to AR threads. There are companies out there that sell AK comps in that thread pattern, I don't know who b/c I have never bought a rifle that needed this.

google-fu produced this:

CNC Warrior produces a few muzzle devices in 1/2-28 thread.

Thanks for the feedback.  Seems the CNC Warrior group have a good selection of
parts for this.  My rifle is missing the sight indexing pin and spring.  The CNC guys
do not carry these parts.  Any guess as to who might?

You have some choices, threading to the AR-15 standard 1/2-28 and screwing on a brake, or screwing on an adapter that will allow you to attach most any AK brakes.
As example with an adapter you can attach any AK standard attachment or the AK-74 large diameter thread AK-74 brake.

For locking pins and springs:
