Took the new Century WASR 10/63 out to a friends land for a test run - went through 8 30rd clips without a hitch!! Woohoo!! I was somewhat worried, having read all the Century threads, that I may have an issue or two and have to send it back. But they must be paying more attention on these newer ones as this one was a real peach! What a blast, too! I had no idea, having only fired a .22 in the past, how powerful an AK is! By God when you pull the trigger there is no doubt what just happened! And loud, too! My friend was plinking away with a .22 revolver and the AK was echoing throughout East Texas!
Got to get to cleaning - ;) Thanks! |

Got to get to cleaning - ;) Thanks! There are certainly a lot of century AKs out there that are fine right out of the box. Nobody disputes that. There are a lot that have problems as well. I just got mine back from century yesterday, now I just need to take it out shooting on saturday to see if its fixed. |

The WASR's usually run fine if the mag well isn't way way to loose. Besides nasty wood, crooked everything, and mag wobble they are ok. My WASR is straight as arrow. Mag well is in tolerance (There is SUPPOSED TO BE SOME "WOBBLE"), and the woods looks pretty nice. |

They aren't all bad, but some of them are pretty messed up sometimes. |
