Bought a WASR chambered for the M43 round. I was stoked I got a good deal on the gun, magazines and 500 rounds. I took it home, cleaned it, lubed it and it was ready to go. I took it out to shoot it and it was a nightmare. I locked a full 30 round mag into place and pulled the bolt back and released it, and it wouldnt lock into battery. It was almost impossible to lock up, but I finally got it, fired and the round didnt eject. It was almost impossible to pull the bolt back to clear the weapon. I finally got it, ejected the empty and forced it to lock up. I only was able to get two consecutive shots. Empty casings were getting stuck in the receiver by the piston. It was a disaster. Anyone know what could have been wrong with it?(please dont say where its made) I tried a couple different mags to isolate that early. I was stumped. It didnt want to feed or eject. The only thing I could remember was how the dealer talked me out of a LE mini 14 because they are unreliable. I was so pissed.
I called him...He took care of it immediatly by trading me for another brand new gun. This one was a GP Wasr that seemed to be a much better gun which works amazingly. What is the difference? What does the GP designate over the normal Wasr? Any help would be appreicated. Thanks

nobody knows what the GP is for, but a wasr is "all ways a good decision".

I have no idea what a GP is either........must be something new on the market, I never heard of it.
