I have found absolutely nothing at all wrong with my g kit build....
I can't believe that they are featured nearer to the bottom in everyones quality lists........ I have found it to be sturdy, reliable and essentially a brand new gun when I got the parts kit.. ANyone else want to chime in on some G kit praise??? |

I've had one for about a year. I bought it already assembled from a gunsmith in Montana.
I'm an average shot, but right out of the box I was hitting steel torso targets at the range at 100 yards off hand, and 14" x 12" steel plates at 200-250 yards from a rest without touching the sights. I shot it a few times (maybe 350 rounds) before trying to really zero it last weekend. I took a WASR 10/63 with me also. The WASR wasn't that far off but I couldn't get but a little less than a 1.5" group at 25 yards (might have been me) using 123 grain Golden Tiger. The front site of the G needed a little windage and elevation adjustment, but I got it down to well under an inch at 25 yards firing 3 shot bursts. It ripped that bulls eye to shreds! I was really pleased with that. Next I loaded 10 rounds into a Tapco 30 round mag and tried my luck with a steel torso at 200 yards. I got 9 out of 10 from a rest. Finally, I tried a 14" x 12" steel target at 200 yards, off hand, firing as fast as I could while trying to maintain some semblance of accuracy. I had 12 hits out of 20 shots fired. I had a buddy with me who hates AKs (He's more of a 1911 guy) and he was really impressed. I don't know if my results were good, bad, or typical, but I left the range feeling pretty good. |

I can't believe that they are featured nearer to the bottom in everyones quality lists........ 1. Don't believe everything you read on the innernet. 2. Keep in mind that many of the people who rate rifles have never held (much less fired) most of the rifles they're posting about. They're simply repeating what they've read. 3. "Quality" usually refers to appearance, or is a term used in someone's marketing campaign. The first rifle I built is a "G". It has about 3.5 K shots through it. Malfunctions = 5. The first 5 shots, because I didn't trim the upper rails enough. The carrier stuck all the way to the rear. |

I like my G, I just don't get to shoot it as much as I would like to.
