Does anyone know of a source for one? All I have seen are the Tapcos with the rail molded with the handguard. Can you seperate the gas tube from the handguard on the Tapco, it looks like a onepiece to me.
Are they interchangable with a different county of manufacture, ie. will a Russian tube drop in a Chinese without modification?

Thanks GL-AR. I forget about GB at times, seeing those prices reminds me why.

i have one that you can have..it needs re-finishing(blasting or sanding and reblueing)  it is chinese.

I will clean it up  and send you a pic if your interested.

I have a few guns that were caught in a fire and I salvaged the good parts.

Sorry to hear about you bad fortune. If you could email me a pic I would appreciate it.
I've never sandblasted before, but I'm under the impression it seriously eats away at the metal. Am I mistaken?

it's not that bad that you should have to blast with heavy abrasive...mostly just smoke and soot damage.

If OP does not want the gas tube or does not feel comfortable with repairs, I would love to get it if possible. I hate to do a "me too post", but I have one of those railed gas tubes, I hate it.  It is thin metal, and the the rail actually started melting from the heat after only a few rounds.

Thanks.
