Has anyone made or installed any type of gasblock with the front sight on it....I like the look of the clean barrel in front of the gas block....maybe add a fake can or something. I really like the Kreb's Vepr conversion that uses this type of front sight....any suggestions or experiences from anyone. |

K-Var carries 2 different styles of Krinkov gas block/front sight. The Krink is available in 7.62, so one of the blocks may fit with minor modifications (or possibly none). I had seen a list of various barrel dimensions with all the block diameters for the AK-47, 74, .223, Saiga .308, and Krinkov rifles on a website, but now I cannot find the link. You could call K-Var and ask what the internal diameter on the Krink blocks are and compare them to your barrel. You may be able to fit one with little or no modification. The Krink blocks already have a threaded extension on them for the flash hider. With a 16" or longer barrel you could easily add a fake can for the silenced Krink look, or remove the extension all together. A 74 brake on the extended bare barrel would look kind of FAL-ish. Campybob or some other knowledgable veteran will hopefully chime in with more info than I can give. |
