My rifle is built (it looks like crap but everything is functioning fine)<except when I cycle test it I once and a while get hangups (1/4in to 1/8in out of battery) (THIS ONLY OCCURS WITH AMMO the bolt always closes by itself when I let it fly from fully retracted.)
I have isolated the problem to tight gas block to piston fit (it requires a little force to go that last 1/4 inch even with no ammo and no bolt (just the empty carrier)

Should I polish the inside of the gas block with a green rubber dremel polishing disk? or what can I do?

i think you should first check straightness and alignment of the piston. simply bend the piston if it is out of alignment.

if it is a 'size' thing, and the piston head is too large to pass thru the gas tube/gas block, uninstall the piston and remove 1/64" from the head, using a lathe.
