+1, that's about the stupidest thing I've ever heard computer related. HTML content is NOTHING, SP2 and all the downloads Microsoft offers are huge. I wonder how much more traffic he would have if he did not force the spawning of Gunco? For those just tuning in, Dave decided to make the Builders Forum an extra charge to access all those handy methods. Nevermind the info came from his members who found it very easy to take what was in their own heads and hard drives to another place. |
Not to mention that the 6 of us that formed gunco, were all silver level contributors or higher. And that the majority of those who originally followed us were at least bronze level members. He lost at least $500 a year in contributions right off the bat, by making BIY a contributor only forum. Screw him. Between this forum and gunco there is all the info available that a AK builder could ever need. |
