How do yall attach the bolt guide rails?  I noticed that they are riveted and MIG or TIG(which one again?) welded on most commecial recievers.

I  believe that most people spot weld the rails in.  You can get the spot welder for $150-200 and the tong for $35, and it doesn't take any prior welding skill.  I don't know the first thing about real welding.

Mig welding them is a PITA. You have to drill holes, then make sure you weld all the way through and leave enough metal to grind down.

Tig is easier...

And spot welding is the best way to go all things considered.
