Hey Guys I bought a new 75 rd. drum mag for my AK. Its setting in a baggy soaked in that gunky stuff whatever its called. So any advice for cleaning all the gunky stuff out of it?

Take it apart and either boil it, or use a scrub brush and hot soapy water.  COSMOLINE will just melt away in no time.

Heat it in an oven at about 200 degrees and the cosmoline will soften and you can wipe it off with old rags.

Disassemble and throw it in the dishwasher.  I've never tried it with a drum but it worked great for the 200 mags I got last year from SG.

Mineral spirits will dissolve it.  Use a paint brush to wipe it off and to reach tight spots.
