Have a Poly-tech Legend, milled reciever. Recieved from a friend years ago 1990? or so for $300.00. I believe he or whoever had it previously, had it modified to a underfolder, appears to be a chinese UF stock as it also came with a second stock new in bag.
Gun is Great and functions Flawlessly. Question is ,it seems that whomever did the UF mod. used a plate with 4 hex scews to attach it to the reciever  in the rear where the wooden stock attached. After seeing pics of various under folders here, not sure if i like the plate on the rear for cosmetic reasons and would like a thinner plate permenently attached.  I assume it would be welded on? Any one know of a gunsmith in NY, who can do this reasonably? Something I can do myself, to fix it?
Or should i just leave it be?

One thread per issue please, and since it already has ansers in Chicom, I'll lock this one. Valid post however And my gut says take off the plate on back to check hom the rear trunion area was modded before deciding on the next step.
