where do i find a source for the u shaped metal thingies that fit inside ak upper & lower handguards ??????????? also proper names for thingies ?????????

you might try dpharms.com or k-var or copesdist all these have some ak partson their sites.there are generally two metal things on the hand guard.one of the pieces help hold the hand guard on to the gas tube and the other helps to keep it from wobbling around.
