Ok, so i have a norinco SKS that i just disassembled and cleaned, now the trigger assembly will not snap into place no matter how hard i push. In order to get the trigger assembly out i had to push on the little button alot harder than people in youtube videos, but i got it out. No there is no way its going in? Help anyone?? Im about ready to throw this rifle against a wall.

Apply the safety BEFORE trying to snap it in place.

Reset the hammer and turn on the safety.

Hammer cocked?  You may have to:

1.  Remove top cover, bolt and carrier, and recoil spring.

2.  invert rifle, place flat portion of receiver on corner of work area so that barrel and stock are are "in the air".  (Work area must be sturdy.)

3.  Place palms on upturned trigger guard and apply force down.  It helps to give a strong "oooomph!" when applying downward pressure.  If that doesn't work, the trigger group or receiver are not properly in position.

Everything on the rifle is assembled other than the top cover, bolt, recoil spring, and bolt carrier. This thing is just not going in.

Skip foward to about 2:40 and my trigger assembly looks just like this guys. Gosh i sound like an idiot, but i believe the hammer is cocked?

I consider myself a pretty strong dude and this thing just wont budge at all.

Will the trigger assembly snap into the receiver without the stock?

That indicates that it's binding somewhere on the metal itself. Just take your time and figure out exactly where. Might have to take a file to it until it seats easier. Just remember that it's easier to take material off than to put it on. If you go that route, file off a little at the time, checking the fitment often. Perhaps you could paint it with whiteout to help isolate where it's touching.

I almost have to sit on a new unissued Yugo to get it clicked back in there.... It really helps to have the receiver on a FIRM surface, like a thin piece of wood on a concrete floor.
