Can we get some pics with the furniture off? For the butt stock you could ( Im NOT an expert here) Drill out both screw holes to fit the smallest dowel possible. Apply a glue and slam the dowel into the holes and let the glue dry for a day or so. Put the butt stock back on and make it fit the trunion they way you want. Drill new holes and screw together. This could be a .59 cent fix. And for the front it looks like someone already has been hacking away at that furniture. |

Regnar33 That's it! I will use a hardwood dowel to correct the butt stock problem. Thanks man! rjb_213 The furniture was a new three piece Russian stock set that I ordered from Doug Ford back in April of 05 for this project. The rear stock was not a used take off. Wheather the butt stock was drilled or not would be my word against the gunsmith's. It is not my intention to get into an argument. I just want some ideas or help on how to fix it. Mikie ![]() |

I cannot find a gunsmith that is willing to correct the problems, so I am going to try to rebuild it myself. I think I am going to remove the rivets, weld the holes, and see what I can do with it. The Global receiver was ordered without the trunnion holes, so the stock could be professionally fitted to the receiver. Can anyone look at the photos and tell if the front and rear trunnions are not in the proper location and causing the gaps. If I am going to rebuild this, I will need some help from you guys. I have no intention of discrediting the gunsmith that built my rifle, so I am not going to post in public who built it. I just want it fixed! I would appreciate any help or advice.
