I am having a heck of a time getting the pins in my Saiga's barrel to budge.  What's the secret? TIA

On an AK I rotate the muzzle brake to cover the spring loaded pin so it can't fly out. I have a piece of 2 x 4 with a divot in it to rest the barrel in. I use a nail set punch and a 3# hammer to start the pin out. Finish pushing it out with a smaller ball peen hammer and a pin punch.

Look at the pins before removal. See if one side already looks peened. That swells the head of the pin so you'll want to start the removal from the other side. A good penetrating oil like PB Blaster helps too.

Nail set punch to start as mentioned.  If you need to use a press to get the FSB off IM me.

Thanks for the IM. I have a press, but gotta get the pins out before I get the press involved.
