Hello.  I silver soldered a slant brake on my AK and now would like to remove it.  How do I go about doing this?  Can I just heat it up until it's cherry red and twist if off?

TIA

Heat it till the solder melts. Then use channellocks or visegrips to remove the slant brake. While the solder on the barrel threads is still soft, use a steel brush to remove the solder or you will have to chase the threads with a die to screw on a new brake.
