Hey guys, I have a couple questions to start things. I have done searches and looked at the info pages, but I could not find an answer. Question 1, where is the date stamped on the receiver for a Norinco? Question 2, the date that is stamped, is it the manufactored date or the import date? Thanks for your assistance. nct |

the year of import is incorporated into the serial number and appears on post-ban imports. it will appear as: xxxxxx97 or xxxxxx-04 96xxxxxx or 02-xxxxxx xxxxxx-1999 etc. usually, chinese ak's are serialized on the left side of the trunnion and not all will incorporate the year into the serial number. |
