Now she is supposed to be Chinese Navy (Peoples Liberation Army Navy).  The barrel is shorter than standard.  FSB is back to the gas block.  And the handguard looks different.  It looks like it narrows and then flares out at the handguard retainer.  Maybe a stop to keep the hand from sliding forward?  And finally, a short, 20rd mag instead of the standard 30.

edited to add that I did some searching and I think it is this variant.

"L" and "U" on the selector?
what do they stand for.  i know semi and full but what do the words mean.
