| To put a stock on an AK pistol? Kinda make it like a krink? |

Yes , Unless you registered as an SBR and the pay the tax. Also rear trunnion would need to be replaced. There are at least two stock choices that you can bolt right onto the existing flat rear pistol trunnion. The ACE brand folder, or a surplus VZ52 stock (Czech somewhat AK-like rifle) You drill holes and tap/thread them. Then bolt the stock on with a little loctite to make sure the bolts don't loosen up. To do this, you submit the proper NFA paperwork. Pay $200 with it, wait a few months, and when approved and you get your tax stamp form back, you can buy (don't to it before) and bolt the stock on. If you're worried that your local Sheriff or PD won't sign off on the paperwork, you can bypass them and form a legal holding trust. A lawyer draws up the trust, or you create one with legal software and the NFA item is assigned/registered to the trust, not you directly. Just putting a trust to paper "creates" it. Then the trust gains real-world recognition by having assets (in this case your SBR AK) assigned to it. This is good for several reasons besides not needing to worry about what the Chief or Sheriff will say or think, you can put friends and family on the trust, so if you die, there's no issues with inheritance or re-registering the short barreled AK you built. Also, any family or friends on the trust can posses and use the SBR AK without you present. |
